This week, our Mutiny Studios First Thursday Afterparty returns to Seven Bar & Kitchen. This month we have DJ Darla Bea bringing some cosmic funk, soul, and other seventies delights. Go out and see all the great art openings around town, then meet up at Seven for a cocktail and some groovy tunes. I think the poster just about says it all.

Mutiny Studios has put together a little music calendar to keep you posted on what's going on around town. We'll keep it updated every few weeks or so, check back here or visit us on facebook.     

Every third Thursday of each month, Mutiny Studios brings free live music to The Brewhouse from 9-11 p.m. All ages. Never a cover charge. Enjoy the tunes with some great local brews. This month: Zeltzer and the Tortoise, a Ventura-based rock band that sounds equally inspired by desert landscapes and coastal vistas. Will be a groovy evening.

Thanks to everyone who came out to Seven Bar & Kitchen to rock out with us and our friends American Dirt and The Dead Volts. We couldn't have asked for a better crowd, you guys raged! We had a really fun night of surfy, thrashy, punk rock from Massenger (Ventura), Magazine Dirty (SLO), and Andy Dick and the Dicks (Isla Vista). We look forward to bringing these guys back to Whiskey Richards.

Thank you for all the support at our recent shows. Booking in Santa Barbara has been a real blast lately. Despite falling on a Sunday this year, Whiskeyfest was a smashing success. We hope Monday wasn't too much of a kick in the head.

Our next event is part of our Mutiny Music Series at The Brewhouse. This month features The Adam Phillips Band. Adam was a part of The Holiday Spectacular in 2012. He's got a classically trained voice and his band is filled with amazing musicians. They are a bluegrass/folk group and they do some fun, unexpected covers. Perfect pub music for The Brewhouse. What a great green crowd of rowdy St. Patty's day patrons came out to celebrate with The Mutineers for Whiskeyfest II ! Thanks to our buddies Big Jugs and Matt Armor for rocking out with us all Irish-style and to Whiskey Richards for hosting what is becoming a downright family tradition. We are really excited for the opening of Mike Mutineer's new spot in the funk zone, Seven Bar & Kitchen. Mutiny Studios is teaming up with Seven to bring you live music from local and touring acts and we're also scheming and planning for all kinds of fun events there in the future so stay tuned.
